MEMBERSHIP

We welcome you to apply to become a member to our specific training membership.

Applying to the program grants you discounted price to all our workshops, sessions and events + some free of charge activities. We host workshops with international guests stemming from the streetdance/freestyle field on a regular basis in Stockholm. We also host regular classes with local established dancers and choreographers from the field.

The format is workshops and/or classes and we focus both on styles, techniques, artistic approach and ofcourse the element of freestyle/improvisation.

Gatuverket’s member program is aimed to provide high level practice to support dancers that are adequately fluent (experienced) within freestyle / streetdance related styles. It’s purpose is to provide a “next step” of continuous practice and development in the spirit of freestyle, rhythmic exploration and technical/physical development.

The membership will grant you heavily discounted access to our program, sometimes also free of charge.

The artforms in question are based in subculture movements and the criterias for the program are based on experience, feelings and knowledge that are stored in our bodies. In our application we ask you to describe your experience in words and also provide us with a short video. This is to provide different ways of expressing and applying. We know that some people have been in the field for a long time and some not. Still the level of understanding and craft can be similar.

Gaturverkets sessions, classes and workshops are hosted throughout the year. We use our instagram to highlight our initiatives so we welcome you there to find out what and when we host our training.

The format of the class can vary depending on the teacher or person holding the space and what journey is created for the participants.
